Singer of the Month Ben Dubin-Thaler

Ben is our moral compass and resident scientist. He is inquisitive, generous, kind and brave. Ben takes life seriously but  laughs easily. When we first met him he was leading a cheer with the Radical Cheerleaders, he was the only boy they let join their troupe which says alot about him. He has been at the heart of the Bass section since 2003 and its hard to imagine our community without him. He also plays fierce ice hockey and has a great family. Check out his amazing project the  BIO BUS.  Ben we are so proud of you and we love you so much. May all your radical dreams come true!

For Ben: a true story

This is a true story told to me last winter by a man who worked in a laboratory in Sweden:  there once was a very handsome, young biologist who labored many days and many nights on a new discovery.  After nearly three days hunched over a microscope with no sleep, he pleaded with his three lab assistants to collectively think of happy thoughts that would channel energy into his experiment.  He was desperate. The first assistant thought of the time she sang and held a high C for nearly 36 measures.  To realize her dream as a soprano made her happy!  The second assistant remember the time he was in a horrible bus crash, but was rescued in the cold by his good friend who put gloves on his hands and coached him to safety. Thoughts of true friendship in the world made him happy! The third assistant remembered a time in Vegas when a sexy stripper gyrated and stripped down to his tighty whities.  Dirty thoughts made her happy!  And so, when the whole laboratory was filled with happiness, the young biologist shouted, “Yes, it’s true!”  He then removed his glasses and began to weep, all the while repeating, “Ontogeny does recapitulate phylogeny!”

Ben is a sexy mofo!!!

I really want to write about what a great service that Ben Dubin-Thaler is doing for the community at large with the bio bus.  The kids that I seen at the Gathering of the Vibes were utterly fascinated with all the stuff on the bus and what they seen looking in the microscope that the normal eye can't see floating or swimming in the Long Island Sound.

But no.........I'm going to write how I REALLY FEEL ABOUT BEN!

The dude is a sexy mofo.  He's smart, he's utterly hot looking and did I mention he's a sexy mofo???

His bass is wonderful but the the view of his hot body is devastatingly delicious.

So, yeah, I'm in awe of him as an activist, a singer, a fun person,  a person with a good heart and I'M ALSO GONNA SAY THAT I'M IN AWE OF BEN DUBIN-THALER BECAUSE HE'S A SEXY MOFO!!!

Ben!!!!

You are kind, generous, really smart...
and kind of awsome
I know you will use your singer of the month power for good not evil!

lots and lots of love,
ruby

Ben!

The bass section is beaming with pride over Ben being singer of the month. Ben's positive, easy-going demeanor makes him a pleasure to sing with, and his work with the BioBus is an inspiration. And when major religious icons imitate your style, you know you're a force to be reckoned with.

Ben

Ben,

I'm still in process of knowing you.
But I'm clear that you
(like most men in the Choir)
are clearly 'Feminysically Approved'
AND, I personally can learn from your humility, and grace.
Must sucess in ALL you endeavor!

God be with  Ye,

Wyl

The Brilliant Bio Bus Bass Benjamin

Ben is the kind of generous spirit you don't meet every day on this planet.  His love for this community, for science, for children, for his gal Lynn, and for his friends is evident in his daily life.  Ben is my favorite person to bragg about to others when describing our unique choir... "The choir is made up of all kinds of people, activists, actors, business people.  Forinstance, we have a PhD Biologist in our choir who runs a mobile science classroom for kids called the Bio Bus!"

Ben, you are goodness and hope for a better world and I'm glad to be a part of your life.

Ben, Singer of the Month

Ben-
I appreciated your "acceptance speech" @ rehearsal last week.  It went something like, all you've accomplished is thanks to the inspiration of the choir/church.  I understand and accept that.  But YOU did it.  YOU made Biobus a reality!  Congrats on really making a difference in the world.  Mwah!
