I enjoy mostly post punk offshoots: industrial, electroclash, but also The Pixies and noise rock, dream pop and baroque pop. I like big, epic sounds...gypsy punk, some anthemic techno variants, notsomuch whiny boys grousing.
And I love the Life After Shopping Gospel Choir!
But I love radio stations more than bands. I like music outlets because they feel like community: East Village Radio, Pirate Cat Radio, CD101.com, WFMU (oh how it tests me, though...), woxy.com, even BBC Radio 1 (Annie Mac's Mashup is always a hoot).
I like to hear music contextualized in a playlist, with some human intention behind it. And I just love radio.
