Miracle story

Here's a story I wish to share with you: Just last week a cab driver told me: "I love to go on vacation by bike. Last year my son who was 10 then asked me: 'Dad, can we go to Disneyland, pls?' and I said to him, 'Ok, let's go, how about going by bike?' That's about 350km from our place. So we went by bike. It took us 6 days. Finally we reached suburban Paris. We saw the tower of Disneyland Paris from far, with Minnie Mouse on top. And my son said: 'Dad, actually I don't want to go there anymore. I want to keep biking through Paris.' We spent 3 more days on our bikes in Paris, having a great time. Then we went home again, this time by train."

It's amazing how dreams and wishes can change. As the Rev said:
"May all your dreams come true,
and may all your dreams be your own."

Amazing!

That is a fantastic story Angel.  I would love to take a bike trip somewhere.  Mmm now to think of somewhere nearby....

cherishing

Thank you, Michael! I'm still thinking how to celebrate Buy Nothing Day here in our place. Well, I'll be conducting a children's choir here. Last year I let them draw themselves as choir angels for an exhibit, and recycled these sketches for this year's invitations. When they now saw it, their first reaction was: "Who did these awkward drawings?" - and then they recognized it were their own. Now they are sooo proud and are looking forward to draw again next Friday. So my Buy Nothing Day will be filled with colorful, fabulous, lively angels. And for me, I'll be meditating on how to cherish the awkwardness that seems to have crept in with all the perfect images around us. Can you follow? I hope you and your family and friends will also have a miraculous Buy Nothing Day. I wish I could be with you in New York, but seems the angels need me here. I saw the choir but once this Feb 08 in the Highline Ballroom. Angelika

Beautiful!

Angelika,

What a beautiful and hope-giving story. Happy Buy Nothing Day (soon) to you and your family!
