For Cancer!

We're holding a benefit party on Saturday June 8 to raise money for a dear friend and talented artist, Taylor Watkins, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
Taylor is a 27 year old cancer survivor, fighting a second bout with this disease. He was diagnosed with a rare and very aggressive form of cancer (soft tissue sarcoma) in his stomach and small intestine, with a bad prognosis. Doctors are giving him a little less than a year to live if treatment isn't received soon. Taylor does not have health insurance, and getting doctors/specialists to see him has been difficult.
We are doing everything we can to support Taylor, and are tapping into our collective power as a community of friends and neighbors to raise money for his treatment. Put plainly – Taylor is literally fighting for his life, and we are rallying to help him get the treatment he so desperately needs to beat this monstrous disease.
The benefit will be held at Brooklyn LaunchPad, a creative community-focused gathering place that has donated a beautiful indoor and outdoor space for the event. We have a diverse line up of bands/performers for the evening, and will have food, beer, and wine for a suggested donation of $5 each – all of which has been donated by local Brooklyn businesses. All of the money raised will go directly towards Taylor’s treatment.
