Children of Detainees-Families for Freedom
The CCPA will protect families from deportation separation and breakups. The law, HR182, has sponsors in the house but needs more support to go through. Here is a short description
The thing I most despise about the present state of afffairs is that it has made cops out of so many decent people. Whether someone is "illegal" or "legal" is not the lens, not the filter, I choose to see people through. That perspective alienates us from the experiences of others and leaves us isolated and distanced from our own practical wisdom and compassion.
What makes a person illegal anyway?
To provide discretionary authority to an immigration judge to determine
that an alien parent of a United States citizen child should not be
ordered removed, deported, or excluded from the United States.
More at Families for Freedom, an advocacy group made up of former immigration detainees and their friends and families. Last time I posted about immigration detainees a man wrote and said we shouldn't take up "illegal" immigration as a cause. I pointed out that no one here says anything about legal or illegal, we just talk about humans, life, and dignity. that an alien parent of a United States citizen child should not be
ordered removed, deported, or excluded from the United States.
